The 2019 MLB Community Meetings will be held November 6-7 at Globe Life Park in Arlington,Texas. This site will be home to all things Community Meetings and we encourage you to check back to this page, as it is developed, for more updates. Provide input on the 2019 agenda. (Survey closes September 13).
Meeting schedule is 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on November 6, and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on November 7, with breakfast starting each morning at 8 a.m. The entire group will gather as a collective on the first day, and the second day will feature two parallel tracks (Community and Youth Baseball, Foundation). A reception for all attendees will take place on the evening of November 6.
For those interested or who may arrive early, MLB and Club colleagues will visit the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy in the late afternoon of November 5. We will tour the Academy and take part in a volunteer activity. More information to follow.
More about the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy
Opened in 2017, the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy gives children across North Texas a state-of-the-art facility to play softball and baseball. In addition to providing year-round baseball and softball instruction, the Academy hosts tournaments, coaching clinics, and skills camps. It also gives young students access to tutoring programs, college prep classes, college and career fairs, financial literacy and internship programs, and MLB industry alternative career workshops. Who Should Attend
Key representatives of Club community and foundation staff are encouraged to attend both days of meetings. Key representatives responsible for Club youth baseball/softball programming are encouraged to attend both days as well, with an emphasis on Day 2.
Topics that will be covered over the course of the two-day meetings will be posted below, with an emphasis on sharing best practices and encouraging dialogue across key focus areas relevant to our work. The final agenda will be based on Club input.
