The Chicago Cubs today announced a new online purchase opportunity to expand access for fans interested in buying Cubs tickets at an affordable price. 10/Sixty Tickets, named in honor of Wrigley Field's famed address: 1060 W. Addison St., offers 60 lower-level Terrace seats priced at $10 inclusive of taxes and fees for all 2018 regular season home games.
With Cubs tickets in high demand, the team is committed to providing an opportunity to as many fans as possible who want to come to Cubs games at Wrigley Field more often.
"With the team's continued success, Cubs tickets have become harder than ever to get," said Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney. "In the spirit of our 'Everybody In' campaign, the 10/Sixty Tickets program helps address the cost and limited availability of Cubs tickets."
Each season, the club has traditionally offered lower-priced tickets to a variety of games, but this new program sets aside affordable tickets for all regular season games, making them within reach of all Cubs fans.
Fans can enter 10/Sixty Tickets for the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets by submitting an online registration form for the game they wish to attend. Registration opens 48 hours before the game starts and closes 24 hours before first pitch. Given the excitement and demand for the Cubs' home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday, April 9, fans can register today through Sunday, April 8, at 1:20 p.m. CDT.
10/Sixty Tickets was inspired by the same-day Broadway ticket purchase program which helped develop theater audiences and overall interest in Broadway shows. The team's vision is to expand its fan base by attracting younger and first-time fans who may not otherwise have access to enjoy Cubs baseball and the magic of Wrigley Field.
"The 10/Sixty Tickets program will allow us to engage and grow our fan base by welcoming new fans who may not have access or the ability to acquire tickets through traditional means. During this new era of Cubs baseball, we have a great opportunity to develop a special connection with new fans that will hopefully grow over time as they share this experience with friends and family," said Kenney.
Fans can submit an online registration through MLB's Ballpark app or by visitingwww.cubs.com/10sixtytickets. There is no fee to enter. Fans randomly selected in a drawing will receive an email a minimum of 12 hours before the start of the game with their opportunity to purchase up to four tickets.
