Cubs, reliever Bueno agree to Minor League deal

The Cubs have signed reliever Francisley Bueno to a Minor League contract, according to Baseball America.

Bueno, 33, appeared in 30 games with the Royals last season and posted a 4.18 ERA over 32 1/3 innings. The left-hander did not appear in the postseason. He was non-tendered by Kansas City in December, even though he was not arbitration-eligible.

It's not clear if Bueno has an invitation to Spring Training with the Major League club. In parts of four seasons in the big leagues with the Royals and Braves, he has a 2.98 ERA.
