Cubs win Landmarks approval

Earlier today, the Cubs gained approval from the Commission on Chicago Landmarks on its revised Wrigley Field bleacher expansion plan.
The approval comes after the National Park Service's recent sign off and agreement with the Cubs to make changes to advertising signs in the outfield. The latest plan includes removing a script sign in left field while relocating and reducing the video board in right field.

Other changes approved today include adding two elevators in the left and right field bleachers to expand accessibility to the Budweiser Bleachers and enlarging the "knothole gate" in right field.
These approvals put the team on track to qualify for federal tax credits to help finance the 1060 Project aimed at restoring and expanding Wrigley Field.
