Team to watch
Aramis Ademan, the Cubs' top position prospect, will take his advanced hitting ability and solid defensive skills to Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach. Other Pelicans of note include Lange, who starred at Louisiana State for three years before becoming a first-round pick last June; Wilson, who has the best all-around tools in the system; and Hudson, who may be on the verge of a breakout.

New faces
Every one of our Cubs Top 30 Prospects already has debuted in the organization. Chicago will get its first extended look at several pitchers drafted in 2017: Lange, Little (first round), Estrada (sixth), Uelmen (fourth), Thompson (third) and Abbott (second). None of them worked more than 19 pro innings last summer.
On the shelf
Alzolay, the Cubs' top-rated prospect, isn't hurt, but is building up arm strength in extended spring training and likely will head to Triple-A Iowa once he's ready to start. Steele may miss the entire regular season after having Tommy John surgery last August.
