Work on the bleacher steel and concrete begins this week. Crews will adhere to City of Chicago noise limitations between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Excavation work in the Red/Purple lot will also begin this week. Clark Street will remain open to traffic in both directions, though the east sidewalk will be closed and barriers may extend a few feet into the street. The west sidewalk will remain open.
Temporary fencing has been installed along the east curb on Sheffield from Addison to Waveland. Fencing continues diagonally from the southeast corner of Waveland and Sheffield to the northwest corner, and westbound on Waveland to the east side of the fire station located at the corner of Waveland and Seminary. Beginning Oct. 24, Waveland between Clark and Seminary will be reduced to one lane, eastbound traffic only. In case of an emergency, arrangements are in place for exit and entrance of emergency vehicles.
