11 years ago, Miguel Cabrera made his MLB debut with a walk-off HR

June 20, 2003 was a Friday. That night, the then Florida Marlins hosted the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Pro Player Stadium and baseball, as we know it, was changed forever.

You see, that evening, a skinny, 20-year-old Venezuelan kid made his Major League debut in left field for the Fish.

That kid was Miguel Cabrera and he hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th.

Over the last 12 seasons in the bigs, Miggy has earned a .321 average on his way to eight All-Star games, five Silver Sluggers, two MVPs and a Triple Crown in 2012. Oh, and that Marlins team finished the season with 91 wins and went on to win the World Series. So he's got that going for him, too.
