Here's a 21-year-old Ken Griffey Jr. narrating the best catches of his career

Ken Griffey Jr., who turned 44 on Thursday, broke into the big leagues 24 years ago at age 19. By 1991, a 21-year-old Junior had already wowed fans in Seattle and nationwide with his prodigious defensive skills.

During that year, Griffey sat down for this delightful interview in which he selected the five best catches of his young career, discussed a technique to avoid rug burns on the Kingdome turf and named an unlikely fielding mentor.

Enjoy all that in the video above, and don't forget to send happy birthday wishes to The Kid.
