A firm pat on the backside is the new thank you

The world would be a much nicer place if we could all just say "thank you" with a nice pat on the tail.

It's customary for position players and managers to show their pitchers support with a nice love tap, but Yankees starter A.J. Burnett took it to another level Tuesday when he left in the sixth inning of Game 4.

Skipper Joe Girardi showed some emotion removing the right-hander from the game, and Burnett replied with a wave of his own glove toward Girardi's rear end.

So the next time your boss compliments you on a job well done or offers you a big promotion, be sure to thank them with a good, hard smack on the rump.
