A Houston baseball fan since before the Astros
Betsy Davis has attended professional baseball games in Houston since the days when the Houston Buffaloes were the St. Louis Cardinals' AA affiliate.
She’s seen games in both the Astrodome and Minute Maid Park, and says that she prefers the Astros’ newest home.
When asked about her favorite player, she is “very partial to Jose Altuve, and the fact that he keeps going no matter what."
Her favorite memory is of the no-hitter thrown by Mike Scott in Sept. 1986 to clinch the division title against the San Francisco Giants.
“I don’t think I’ll ever forget that,” said Davis.
