A young boy didn't get to keep a Hanley Ramirez bat, but he did get a signed ball delivered by Magic Johnson
When Hanley Ramirez's bat went flying into the stands after he lost control of his backswing on Saturday, the boy it landed near might have thought he was getting an extra-large souvenir to take home. But players can be very attached to the tools of their trade, and a Dodgers representative collected the bat from him.
He wouldn't go home emptyhanded though, as Los Angeles part-owner Magic Johnson did what he could to personally make it up to the kid. Magic delivered a ball signed by the team to him -- then stuck around to sign a few autographs of his own.
