Adam Wainwright joins all the #PitchersWhoRake who want in on the T-Mobile Home Run Derby

Madison Bumgarner. Jake Arrieta. Now, hot off his pinch-hit go-ahead double on Friday, Adam Wainwright has joined the growing call of pitchers who want to prove that they can mash dingers with the best of MLB in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby:

"What?" you might say. "That's preposterous! Pitchers don't belong in the Home Run Derby!" Well, Wainwright politely disagrees:

And his entry makes three now, officially turning this into a trend. Bumgarner submitted his application with a Derby-worthy BP session:

And Arrieta's 440-footer from April speaks for itself:

Basically, it's getting exceedingly difficult to keep 'em out. Together, Bumgarner, Arrieta and Wainwright have 23 career home runs, they've all homered this season, and have no time for objections:

At this rate, if they don't get into the regular Home Run Derby, they may just start their own.
