Adeiny Hechavarria grabs a popup that Martin Prado was pretty sure he had
When Dioner Navarro popped up to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning of Tuesday's Blue Jays-Marlins game, Marlins third baseman Martin Prado thought he had it. He really thought he had it. He was under it, arms stretched out to call his teammates off. He had it.
He didn't have it.
Thankfully, Adeiny Hechavarria was there as the ball sailed behind Prado, making a routine out.
As the broadcasters point out, the Rogers Centre roof was open and it was right around dusk, so it's understandable Prado lost the ball in the sky.
And what else are teammates for, if not to bail you out when a routine catch goes awry?
