After K'ing against Kershaw and snapping his bat, Jefry Marte came up again and hit a three-run homer
Facing Clayton Kershaw in Sunday's series finale between the Angels and Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, Jefry Marte had his hands full in the first inning. With the bases loaded and a full count, he struck out to end the inning and, thus, the Angels' threat.
This frustrated him, as it would you had you been in his shoes. But would you have snapped the bat over your knee as impressively as he did?
With the sting of that first-inning strikeout probably still in his mind, Marte came up in the fourth inning with two runners on didn't let himself get in a two-strike count this time. No, he just clobbered a first-pitch offering from Kershaw over the wall in left-center for a game-tying, three-run homer:
