Andrew Albers' Canadian friends really went the extra kilometre for his MLB debut

Minnesota's Andrew Albers had a spectacular MLB debut on Tuesday night, holding the Royals scoreless for 8 1/3 innings. The lefty, who hails from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, had a contingent of hometown fans in attendance at Kauffman Stadium. They not only painted their chests to spell Albers' name, but also advocated for him to lead of Canada's parliamentary system of government.

After the game, Albers received a celebratory water cooler shower and a face full of good old American shaving cream pie -- I guess his teammates didn't have any Nanaimo bars handy.
