True to his word, Andrew McCutchen hit two homers after promising A.J. Burnett he would

In this life, integrity is everything. The measure of a person's integrity goes a long way in society, and by that rubric Andrew McCutchen is a man of pristine standing.
You see, former Pirates right-hander A.J. Burnett hung around the Bucs' TV booth during Thursday night's game with the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. During Burnett's visit, Cutch launched a solo shot to left-center, and while he rounded the bases Burnett pointed out that he had promised him two homers on the night.

Flash-forward to the eighth inning of Pittsburgh's 15-2 win, and ... yep, Cutch delivered, and pointed to Burnett's luxury suite as a means of saying, "Told you so."

Good man, that Cutch.
But he wasn't the only Pirate happy to see Burnett, who retired after last season. Said manager Clint Hurdle to MLB.com's Adam Berry after the game:
"It's always good to see A.J. They started smiling early, and they were able to smile throughout the game."
Indeed they were.
