A's fans raged against the dying of their postseason hopes on Tuesday

Grant Balfour has come a long way to close games for the Athletics -- Sydney, Australia, to be precise -- but his taste in entrance music lies much closer to Oakland. The righty has been entering the ninth inning to  "One" by Bay Area metal gods Metallica and the faithful in the right-field bleachers have been responding with a spirited "ragefest" all season.

With the A's up against a two games to none deficit in the ALDS against Detroit, Oakland's harvester of sorrow (and saves) came into the game in the ninth to preserve a win and stave off elimination on Tuesday night. The #BalfourRage was as brutal as ever, as was Balfour's custom of dousing himself with water before taking the mound.
