Jose Altuve couldn't resist the appeal of Taylor Motter's long blond locks and just had to get a feel

Sometimes during a baseball game there are slow moments. Even at second base -- one of the busiest spots on the baseball diamond -- there are breaks in the action. During those times, when a player has no pressing obligations in the field, he can allow his curiosity to take control.
That's precisely what Astros second baseman Jose Altuve did after Mariners shortstop Taylor Motter made his way to second base on a double in the 5th inning of Tuesday's Astros-Mariners game. Altuve just couldn't resist the urge to assess the texture of Motter's flowing blond locks.

As fate would have it, Motter found himself on second base again in the seventh inning after a one-out double. Altuve's curiosity seems to have been sated in the 5th inning, as he did not appear interested in a second trip to the Motter petting zoo.
