Adorable young A's fan gets handed souvenir, immediately throws it away

Clayton Kershaw's bafflingly large hands notwithstanding, baseballs are generally good for a couple things: 1) hitting and 2) throwing. So, when a young A's fan was handed a souvenir by her parents during Oakland's 5-1 win over the Angels on Thursday, her thought process was probably pretty straight-forward -- not seeing a bat anywhere nearby, she decided to go with door No. 2:

Luckily, this story has a happy ending. Her father was able to scramble down and retrieve the ball, in the process reiterating the cardinal rule of the ballpark: If you're going to bring your kid to the game, make sure you're not sitting in the upper deck.
