Autistic child throws out a pretty awesome first pitch
Phillies fan Joseph Dever was representing autistic children and autism awareness in throwing out a ceremonial first pitch on Saturday, which is admirable in and of itself. But aside from being for a good cause, Dever's pitch was one of the best we've seen in a while.
Not only did Dever wear his glove and come to a set position, he looked over at a coach to discuss which pitch to throw (covering his mouth so the opposition couldn't read his lips), exhorted the crowd to get loud with a "pump up the volume" gesture, and after the pitch, dropped to his knees in celebration. Well done, Joseph.
