Biking for Baseball enjoys reprieve before restarting trek
Sometimes, you get together with a group of friends, take in a baseball game and knock back a few cold ones. Then you end up riding your bicycle across the country, stopping at all 30 Major League parks along the way.
That's precisely what Chase Higgins, Steve Lunn, Rex Roberts and Adam Kremers are doing this summer. Dubbed "Biking for Baseball," the group began its journey on April 13 in Seattle and is scheduled to finish 11,000 miles later on Sept. 21 in Boston. In each city, they hold baseball clinics with local children to promote mentorship programs.
They reached Kansas City this week at the season's unofficial midpoint and will soon restart the odyssey for the home stretch.
