Brandon Inge played a little hockey during Thursday's rain delay
During the delay in Thursday's Cubs-Pirates tie, Pittsburgh infielder Brandon Inge found a way to both pass the time and keep himself warmed up and ready to play: a little bit of pickup hockey in the Pirates clubhouse.
The Pirates decided to wear Penguins jerseys to show support for their NHL brethren, but Inge took it even further -- donning skates, pads and a helmet in addition to his Mario Lemieux jersey. All this, despite the fact that he supposedly cheers for the Red Wings.
The actual Penguins are currently up 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, so they probably won't seek Inge's help. But it must be comforting to know he's there if they need him.
