Brandon McCarthy pitched poorly against the Yankees, and Central Park's pigeons will pay for it

Brandon McCarthy is off to a rough start this season. The D-backs starter allowed nine hits and three earned runs in four innings of work against the Yankees on Tuesday night, and owns an ERA of 7.47 in his first 15 2/3 innings of 2013.

With his frustration growing, McCarthy's been looking for a target to vent some rage at. By Wednesday, he'd decided on the ubiquitous feral birds of Manhattan's largest green space:

If McCarthy throws a shutout in his next start, this might end up a tradition for visiting starters playing the Mets or Yankees. Let's hope that happens.
