Brett Gardner took on the sun and it did not end well

It's the height of the summer, which means the sun is making its presence known -- especially during baseball games in the early afternoon. And in the fourth inning of Thursday's Orioles-Yankees game in the Bronx, the burning hot fiery ball of mass was just chilling in the sky, watching a Chris Davis fly ball sail toward left fielder Brett Gardner. Gardner battled the sun for his right to catch said fly ball. Gardner lost said battle.

Yes, "Oof!" is correct.

Davis ended up with a ground-rule double and the sun tallied another victim to its name.
