Brian Dozier gets caught in a rundown, refuses to go gentle into that good night

For most baserunners, the rundown is a foregone conclusion. Sandwiched between two professional defenders between yourself and safety, what choice is there beyond a few seconds of back-and-forth before being inevitably tagged out and trudging back to the dugout?
Brian Dozier, however, didn't get that message. Sure, when a Joe Mauer comebacker left him stranded between second and third on Friday against the Royals, all looked lost. But he never panicked. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and recited the Five D's of Rundowns: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. He then proceeded to irritate the Royals infield for the next 10 seconds.

Here's to you, Brian Dozier. Sure, you might have eventually been tagged out, but even in defeat, you made the scorekeeper's life a lot more eventful.
