Eric Byrnes proved he could field during his 11 years as a big league outfielder:
But that was with a glove. That's expected. That's easy. The harder and more important question was whether Byrnes could catch a foul ball while sitting in the stands. During Thursday's Marlins-Yankees game, the 39-year-old bulldozed through an entire section to make a nice one-hander:
Byrnes was just a little bit excited after the grab -- so excited that starting pitcher Dan Haren (and the rest of the Marlins dugout) apparently heard him from all the way down on the field:
