A Cleveland shop celebrated the Indians' 15-game winning streak with $1.7 million in free repairs
On Thursday night, the Indians set a franchise record by winning their 15th consecutive game, an 11-2 victory over the White Sox. Never before in the 117-year history of the team had they reached such heights, and they came with an even better bonus for a certain subset of fans around Cleveland.
Earlier in the summer, a local repair shop called Universal Windows Direct decided to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a promotion. If the Indians could do one better than last year and beat their mark for most wins in a row with 15, then all customers who did business with them in July would receive full rebates.
It was an unlikely but fun idea, and to the company's surprise, the Indians capitalized with a remarkable streak. So, when

Fittingly though, it was actually a win/win scenario. Since CEO William Barr took out a $75,000 insurance policy for the promo, the company was safe and instead received plenty of advertising, while all the customers who paid for their services in July were off the hook.
