A bunch of Chicago kids explained that they were late to school today because of the Cubs

As you might have heard by now, Cubs fans waited quite a long time to see a World Series title come home to Wrigley Field -- 108 years, to be precise. So, now that the day is finally here -- thanks to a heart-stopping, 8-7 win in Game 7 on Wednesday night -- it's understandable that the party in Chicago might have run a little long.
At least, that's what some Chicago students figured. After showing up a bit late to school on Thursday morning, one group of students had to write down why they were tardy. They were nothing if not honest:

A special shoutout to the student who answered "Cubs win World Series!!!," although we're a bit skeptical of the "dentist" reply.
