Chris Iannetta whiffed on a Joakim Soria offspeed pitch and snapped his bat into kindling over his knee

In the top of the seventh inning of Friday's NLDS Game 2 matchup between the Rockies and Brewers, Colorado catcher Chris Iannetta had a chance to come through.
With Colorado trailing, 1-0, Ian Desmond was on third base with nobody out. Iannetta, a veteran, was trying to put the ball in play against Joakim Soria ... even a medium-deep fly ball to the outfield would probably get the job done. However, Soria struck out Iannetta with a nasty offspeed pitch, prompting Iannetta to snap his bat over his knee and reduce it to a couple scraps of wood.

That seems painful ... but basically sums up how Iannetta felt about coming up short in that at-bat. 
"I've done that before, but only in the tunnel where no one could see it," Iannetta said after the game. "It was frustrated of course. I was aggravated I couldn't come through. Tying run on third and I chased two fastballs at the top of the zone. Don't get me wrong, they are tough pitches to hit, but you want to be able to put the ball in play or get a fly ball."
