Clayton Kershaw implies A.J. Ellis' body needs work, Ellis responds with startling evidence to the contrary
The Dodgers' official Twitter feed pointed out on Monday that pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in a mere 85 days. Clayton Kershaw, perhaps aware of his catcher's tendency to spend a lot of time watching Gossip Girl, strongly suggested that A.J. Ellis' offseason training regimen has been lacking:
Ellis was not about to take that kind of criticism. Not when he has such powerful evidence disproving the notion that his body needs any work at all:
The outfit, inspired by the Chiquita Banana or perhaps the Banana's inspiration Carmen Miranda, originated with a rookie hazing exercise in 2008. But it works even better as proof for Kershaw and the world that, like Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime, Ellis' body is ready.
