Clear nose, full BARTs, can't lose

Like fellow Bay Area legend Jerry Rice, Madison Bumgarner prefers to take the field with his nasal passages completely unobstructed.

But Breathe Right strips never gained the same popularity in the Majors as they did on the gridiron, and baseball pant pockets aren't really conducive to carrying around a full box of tissues.

So what's a 16-game winner to do? Apply finger to side of nose, exhale forcefully and hope nobody's watching.

Well, Madison, a bunch of somebodys are watching, including at least one MLBlogger/Kiln enthusiast and this guy outside AT&T Park on Sunday afternoon.
