David Ross was, of course, amazing in his Cubs-themed 'Dancing with the Stars' debut

The collective baseball and dancing (and baseball-dancing) world went bonkers when it was announced that former Major Leaguer David Ross would appear on this season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." And on Monday, the two-time World Series champ made his long-awaited debut.

Ross previewed the night to come with his Cubs-themed costume and brilliant #LadyandtheGramp hashtag:

He then presented us with a full image of what he and dance partner Lindsay Arnold would look like once they hit the dancefloor:

The outfits looked even better when they arrived on set:


And it wasn't just any set -- it had a familiar theme:

Grandpa Ross, re-branded as Grandpa Sexy, did excellent, scoring a 28 out of 40 -- the highest marks of the night. Check it all out in the main clip above. The pair, of course, danced to Steve Goodman's "Go Cubs Go." His former teammates also called in to give him some props while down at Spring Training:

A tearful Grandpa was very grateful right after the show -- thanking everyone for watching. Let's hope he can continue his dancehall dominance next week.
