Cubs fan loses beer trying to catch a home run ball he probably didn't want anyway
In the first inning of Game 4 of the NLDS, with his team facing elimination, Stephen Piscotty launched a two-run home run to left-center field that sailed directly into the corner of the stands, at the exact spot where a Cubs fan stood holding a beer.
… Let's see how that went.
So, he lost the ball and his beer. But, uh, was it really as unfortunate as it looked?
Well, sure -- it could've gone better. No one likes to miss out on the opportunity to catch a homer, and definitely no one likes spilling a beverage you paid perfectly good money for. But, as a Cubs fan whose team won, 6-4, despite Piscotty's homer, he probably didn't want that particular home run ball, anyway.
