Cubs honor Ernie Banks with moment of silence before Opening Night

When Cubs legend Ernie Banks passed away earlier this year, tributes to the two-time MVP, Hall of Famer and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient rang throughout Chicago and MLB. On Sunday night, before the Cubs opened their 2015 MLB season against the Cardinals, Wrigley Field held a moment of silence in honor of Banks' memory.

During the seventh-inning stretch, Banks' sons Joey and Jerry sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" -- just as their father did so many times before.

In addition to the tribute to Banks, there was a moment of silence for former Cardinals outfielder Oscar Taveras, who passed away in October.
