Cubs prospect makes unreal, over-the-shoulder catch while sliding into the visitors bullpen

Cubs prospect David Bote, who's played at all Minor League levels this year, is having his best season offensively. He's hitting .281 with three homers, including a stint when he hit .364 in 12 games at Triple-A Iowa.

But during a game playing first base for the Class A Pelicans on Sunday, he showed that he's also working on that over-the-shoulder, sliding-into-the-bullpen defense:

Surprise, visiting team pitchers! It's me, David Bote.

If he really wants to get to the Majors as a Cubs first baseman, though, he'll have to take his talents straight into the crowd.
