Minor League first baseman makes diving stop, incredible no-look, behind-the-back flip
Minor League 1B makes diving, no-look play
Jose Osuna is a first baseman by trade. He plays for the Pirates' Double-A affiliate in Altoona, Pa., for whom he does lots of first baseman things. Retreating to the first-base bag to record putouts, fielding ground balls, catching popups that could potentially land in his general vicinity ... you know, the usual stuff.
But on Sunday, Osuna busted out a move that you don't see every day: The diving stop, coupled with a no-look, behind-the-back flip to his pitcher for the out. It's the kind of thing highlight reels are made for.
Osuna's got a bat on him, too. He's hitting .300 and has five homers in 59 games for the Curve this year.
