When you play a game that runs almost six hours, gum, water and sunflower seeds just aren't going to cut it by the end. Rays outfielder David DeJesus found an ingenious way to consume large amounts of energy quickly in the top of the 14th in the Bronx on Friday:
When Tampa Bay prevailed after scoring five runs in the inning, DeJesus realized the confectionary treat was a good luck charm, even if he paid a price afterward:
