David Price apparently doesn't know how All-Star voting works

Does Fernando Rodney have an All-Star case? David Price thinks so.

Match up the numbers among relievers, and Rodney is right there with a minuscule 1.07 ERA over 35 appearances. The right-hander has also saved 21 of the Rays' 40 wins -- the third-highest total in the American League.

So Price has a valid point. But he's going about it all wrong.

See, there's one fatal flaw to Price's plan: The process of sending pitchers to Kansas City doesn't work quite like he thinks it does. While fans can vote for their favorite position players RIGHT HERE, pitching staffs are selected by the All-Star coaching staffs -- not by fan vote.

Good thought, though. Maybe Price can coordinate efforts with this fannext year.
