Engineers of the world, Vinnie Pestano has two words for you: milk cartons
When we last checked up on Vinnie Pestano, he was contemplating some deep thoughts about how technologically sophisticated alien civilizations are likely to be. On Thursday, the Indians reliever was back with more technological musings, though this time they were considerably more terrestrial:
Young Entrepreneurs: Milk carton technology hasnt changed in a few decades, still 40/60 you get it open. Someone might wanna get on that— Vinnie Pestano (@VinnieP52) November 8, 2012
Some might say Pestano is ignoring the advent of commercial liquid containers with plastic screw caps. Others might say a 40 percent rate of successful paper carton openings is unacceptable no matter if alternatives are available. Either way, there is a huge windfall awaiting the solver of this decades-old problem -- and that person will have Vinnie Pestano to thank.
