How does a franchise established in 1998 handle "Turn Back the Clock" night?

The Rays have found a solution, designing a hypothetical uniform from 1979. They'll debut the Disco Demolition-era jerseys against the Tigers on June 30, then auction them off for charity.

The Tigers will wear a uniform based on their actual road duds from that same year.

As it turns out, Joe Maddon was finishing a Minor League playing career with the Santa Clara Padres of the California League in 1979. But now we know what he might have looked like in Tampa Bay blue.
