Faithful Royals fans celebrate postseason berth in Chicago
Royals fans party for postseason in Chicago
U.S. Cellular Field is located on Chicago's South Side, approximately 511 miles from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The distance didn't deter a whole gaggle of Royals fans who made the trip to Chi-Town to watch their beloved team clinch a postseason berth for the first time in 29 years.

The Royals and White Sox teed off Saturday evening and it wasn't much of an away game for Kansas City. By the time Salvador Perez caught a popup in the foul territory behind home plate for the final out of a 3-1 victory, the Royals contingent at U.S. Cellular Field was on their feet and screaming their lungs out like it was 1985.
The players were popping champagne and donning that postseason swag as the Royals fans moved down behind the dugout to join the players for a few moments of adulation.
Now THAT is was pure joy looks like.
