Farewell to Lance Berkman, author of this unreal catch atop Tal's Hill
Lance Berkman announced on Wednesday that's he's hanging up his spikes after a superlative 15-year career. The Big Puma leaves behind a legacy that includes a .943 career OPS, 366 home runs, six All-Star appearances and a World Series title.
Berkman finished his career as mostly a first baseman/DH type, but he spent his early seasons patrolling the outfield in Houston. 2002 marked his only season as a full-time center fielder and included the spectacular play - which could only have happened in Minute Maid Park -- you see above.
