Flashback Friday brings Bagwell to old stomping grounds
Astros legend Jeff Bagwell threw out the first pitch Friday night as part the latest Flashback Friday celebration honoring the team's 50th anniversary.
"I wish we had more people here, not for me, but for the team," Bagwell said. "Times are tough right now, but we're going in the right direction."
Bagwell played his entire 15-year career in Houston, racking up 2,314 hits, 449 home runs and 1,529 RBIs. The four-time All-Star was named the NL Rookie of the Year in 1991 and won the '94 NL MVP.
Because of a right shoulder condition, Bagwell had to throw out the first pitch using his left hand.
