These are times of great tension on the basepaths. It seems like every other day there's another standoff between runner and fielder -- and sometimes even between runner and Fielder. The baseball world needs a hero in this great Cold War, someone to unite us. And what better someone than Braves first baseman and world's greatest hugger Freddie Freeman?

Freeman began his campaign of diplomacy on Thursday night against the Mets. When New York second baseman and former Brave Kelly Johnson lined one down the left-field line, he rounded first and headed to second. Given that Freeman had to cover second anyway, it was a perfect opportunity for the two old teammates to catch up:
