The 2015 NL Silver Slugger winners are here, and we've got the GIFs for the occasion

Between the Gold Glove Awards and the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Awards, we've spent the past couple of days singing the praises of the very best defenders that 2015 had to offer. But enough about that. Chicks still dig the long ball, after all, and it's time to focus on the balls that those glovesmen couldn't quite get to. The NL Silver Slugger Award winners were announced on Thursday night, and to celebrate, we've got some GIFs. (You can also check out the AL winners here.)

C: Buster Posey

Posey has clearly taken the magic of the Busterhug and reversed it. The result: lots of hits, mostly dingers.

Posey HR

1B: Paul Goldschmidt

He won the Gold Glove. He won the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year. And he even took Clayton Kershaw deep, just to show off:

Goldy HR

2B: Dee Gordon

Sure, Dee might not fit the usual mold of a "slugger," but what he lacks in size he makes up for in running like the Flash:

Gordon HR

SS: Brandon Crawford

Let's hope Crawford shows a little more mercy to the cast of "Liv and Maddie" than he did to the various pitchers of the National League:

Crawford GS

3B: Nolan Arenado

Really, it's just not fair that the same guy who does stuff like this ...

Arenado DP

... can also do stuff like this:

Arenado GS

OF: Bryce Harper

A Silver Slugger is only appropriate for a guy who gets upset with himself even while hitting dingers:

Harper HR

OF: Andrew McCutchen

Sadly, they don't give out awards for bending the weather with one's mind or making young fans for life, so Cutch will just have to accept this award and our deepest apologies:

Cutch HR

OF: Carlos Gonzalez

Sure, CarGo plies his trade at Coors Field, but after some careful calculations [randomly smashes calculator] we're fairly sure this kind of power would play anywhere:

CarGo HR

P: Madison Bumgarner

This is what Madison Bumgarner thinks of your "psh, pitchers can't hit" narrative:
