He's on fire! Ivan Nova throws a pitch through Russell Martin's glove

Back in the NBA Jam days, when of your players was getting hot from the field, the announcer would scream "He's on fire!" and the net would literally light on fire.

A pitcher's equivalent of being on fire would be throwing serious heat. Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova reached that level on Thursday night, chucking a 93-mph fastball right through the webbing of Russell Martin's glove. I'm sure when pitching coach Larry Rothschild told Nova to aim through the glove -- not at the glove -- he didn't mean it literally.
