Hungry no more! Hot dog kayak cooks, delivers franks to McCovey Cove boaters

Over the years, we've watched boaters, kayakers and DeLoreans float around McCovey Cove -- waiting for a home-run ball to come their way.

Sure, this all looks fun and exciting, but how do these bay-dwellers eat? Is there any way they can have the same ballpark food enjoyed by fans inside the stadium?

Floating. Hot dog. Vendor.

ESPN put London Van Der Kamp into a custom-built kayak that contains a hot dog warming compartment and bottles of mustard and ketchup for Sunday night's Dodgers-Giants game. A second "follow boat" also had an extra stash of dogs, just in case.

"I was thoroughly enthralled by giving back to the extreme enthusiasts here at McCovey Cove," the professional kayaker said. "I jumped on it immediately. It's nice to be out giving out some hot dogs to the hardcore Giant lovers out there. They deserve it."

Kayak collisions and mustard mishaps were also diverted by binding the hot dog vending kayak to the hungry boaters with a bungee-type cord. So if one moved, they both moved.

And for those of you who are afraid of soggy rolls, just remember, water only expedites dog consumption.
