If history serves us right, Dwyane Wade signing with the Cavs means an Indians World Series

In life, there are coincidences and there are facts. The following are not coincidences. They are truths. These are facts.

In 2003, the Miami Heat drafted and signed Dwyane Wade. Later that fall, the Marlins won the World Series:

In 2016, Wade left the Heat and signed with the Chicago Bulls. Later that year, the Cubs won their first World Series in 108 seasons.

And now, Wade has signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers -- nearly guaranteeing that the Indians, arguably the best team in baseball, will win the World Series. We know it, Cleveland knows it, even Dwyane Wade knows it.

Better luck next year, rest of baseball.
