Ike Davis and Mr. Met take part in 'Warm-Up' Holiday Coat Drive
Ike Davis, Mr. Met and New York State Sen. Jose Peralta were at Citi Field on Wednesday to lend a hand for the Mets sixth annual "Warm-Up" Holiday Coat Drive. Each year, the Mets team up with SNY and New York Cares to collect and donate coats to those in need.
"One coat might make a world of difference for a New Yorker this winter," Davis said. "It's our duty to give back to the community."
The first baseman also played an elf at the team's holiday party on Tuesday.
Fans who dropped off coats on Wednesday received two free tickets to a future Mets game, along with other merchandise discounts.
