In case you missed it: Yusmeiro Petit pitched a painfully almost-perfect game

On Friday, Giants right-hander Yusmeiro Petit came so close to a perfect game he could taste it (it tasted amazing). In the ninth inning, with two outs and two strikes against him, Eric Chavez hit a single to right field. Hunter Pence missed the catch by inches.

Yusmeiro, we sincerely hope you spent Saturday soaking in a bubble bath and/or downing pint after pint of chocolate ice cream (which tastes good, but not amazing). You'll get 'em next time.
